Configuring Your Scene
• Adding nodes to the node graph is the first step to setting up a 3D Scene.
See New 3D Scene Basics.
• The scene graph is one of the best ways to visualise your USD stage hierarchy.
See New 3D Scenes in the Scene Graph to learn about the various tools in the scene graph.
• A key part of setting up a 3D scene is to use paths and masks. Paths set where a prim lives inside of the scene graph hierarchy which is achieved using the Path knob. Masks define which specific prim or selection of prims to affect with your node using the Mask knob.
• Merging works slightly differently in New 3D scenes.
See Merging 3D Data.
